Like La Palma, Gran Canaria is mountain bikers dream, grandiose scenery, year-round weather and endless trails. These are, however, not to be underestimated, endless flow is rather rare, but rather demanding descents.
A great tour is around the Presa de Tirma lake in the west of the island. Start at the GC 216 west of Artenara at about 1200 meters altitude.
1200 hm, 20 km, about 5 hours cycling time, technique: demanding. Take enough water with you!

Start south-east on a single trail until you reach the edge of the caldera after about 1 km.
Then turn right and always along the ridge. Here there are great views in the caldera, but also to the west on the Atlantic and Tenerife.
At Km 4.4 is the trail is very good ridable. Then hold onto the right. The following single trail is not used so often, and is somewhat coarser. Stay on the way to the north-west with great views of the sea and Tenerife.
At km 7, the forest ends, and at km 7.4 you go down 2 km along quite rough trails until you finally reach the gravel road.
Then follow the about 10 km uphill with a moderate slope, past the Presa de Tirma reservoir, until you reach the starting point again.
